RECENT CHANGES AT
NORTHERN TIER SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY
Effective immediately, NTSWA can no longer accept hard cover books for recycling at any of our locations. The glue on the spine of the book holding the cover on makes them very difficult to recycle and very few end users are willing to take them anymore because of the labor involved. Unfortunately, these hard cover back books should be donated to a charity if possible or thrown away. Paper back books can be recycled in our Mixed Paper category.
Oil and Antifreeze disposal!
Effective August 1, 2020, all oil or antifreeze
coming to the landfill for recycling can not be in a container any larger than a (5) gallon jug.
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING DRUMS OF OIL OR ANTIFREEZE.
It can not be mixed together with any other substance, i.e. water etc. Containers must be sturdy, sealed tightly and labeled.
Residents only. No businesses.
