About NTSWA

The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA), located in North Central Pennsylvania, is an integrated Solid Waste Authority committed to excellence in solid waste management in the PA counties of Bradford, Tioga and Sullivan. NTSWA's staff ensures that the facility remains in compliance with local, state and federal regulations while striving to maintain a state-of-the-art facility.

The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) was created in 1973 as a municipal authority under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by the counties of Bradford, Tioga and Sullivan to handle their waste management needs. This was the first three-county solid waste authority ever established in Pennsylvania and still remains the only one today.
