NTSWA - Dedication to the Environment Scholarship

Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority

Dedication to the Environment Scholarship

Three $1000.00 Scholarships Offered Each Year to Area Students

Background
Since 1973, the Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) has strived to inform residents of our services and solid waste management system through educational programs.  These programs are accompanied by scholarship awards presented to high school students of Bradford, Sullivan and Tioga Counties, Pennsylvania. The authority strongly believes in educating our youth to ensure a healthy environment in the future.  Offering scholarship awards to our local youth encourages students to gain knowledge in an environmental field, as well as pursue a future in higher education.
Scholarship Awards
NTSWA awards three scholarships, one for Bradford, Sullivan and Tioga Counties, Pennsylvania. Each award is in the amount of $1000.00 and is made payable directly to the award recipient's institution of higher education in the second semester of study. NTSWA reserves the right to withhold an award due to the lack of eligible participants for one or all of the three counties affected. NTSWA also reserves the right to withhold an award in the event that the recipient does not successfully complete the first semester of higher education.
