Garbage Collection Services
The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) promotes the Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) system for waste management. The PAYT system promotes reducing, reusing and recycling your waste as much as possible. Residents who choose to manage their waste wisely will save money because you only pay for what you throw away. This system also is advantageous for those living alone or are elderly because their is no per month fee, only a per bag fee. The PAYT system is endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority is currently conducting Garbage Collection Services in the areas listed below. Participants must register with the NTSWA Offices indicated and use the appropriate NTSWA bag stickers.
