An Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility

The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) Landfill #2 is located in rural West Burlington Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along U.S. Route 6, approximately 10 miles from Troy and Towanda, Pennsylvania, near the Bradford County Manor. This landfill is a state-of-the-art, double-lined, sanitary landfill permitted by the Department of Environmental Protection (Permit #101243). This facility accepts municipal solid wastes from residents, commercial and industrial wastes (residual wastes), construction\demolition materials as well as other special handling wastes. NTSWA cannot landfill medical wastes, hazardous wastes, or liquid materials in this landfill.

The NTSWA also operates a Recyclable Processing Center at this location.

Hours

The Landfill is open to all haulers and residents Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am to Noon.  The Recycling Center is open for Drop-Off and Buy Back of Materials Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.  Recyclables can be dropped off on Saturdays from 8:00am to Noon in the bins provided; however, there will be no buy back for aluminum cans on Saturdays.

NOTE* Asbestos Wastes and Contaminated Soils must be approved prior to acceptance for disposal. Contact the Central Office for Required Paperwork.

NOTE** The $45.00 per ton rate includes all state assessed fees according to Act 101, Act 90, and Pa Department of Environmental Protection Regulations.

NOTE*** Residents are only permitted to bring ONE load of tires, regardless of size without the PA DEP required hauler's permit.  After the "ONE DUMP" residents must apply through the PA DEP for the required permit.
