What Do I Do With Unwanted Automotive Products?
The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) operates a program for drop off collection\ recycling of materials considered to be household hazardous waste. These are products that have the potential to be toxic, corrosive, reactive, and\or flammable. While they are not regulated as hazardous waste because of their small quantity, they could cause potential harms at home, while being transported for disposal, and\or at the landfill sites. NTSWA accepts the following automotive materials at two Recyclable Processing Centers located at the Landfill sites in Bradford and Tioga Counties. (See Landfill Operations)These materials should be carefully transported to the Recycling Centers. All jugs, buckets, etc. must be tightly sealed and not leaking. If you have a large quantity, please contact the appropriate site prior to delivery to make arrangements for acceptance.
