TIADAGHTON AREA TRANSFER STATION

 

The newest transfer station for the Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority is located in Delmar township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along U.S. Route 6 approximately 1 mile west of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.  This landfill is permitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (Permit #101217).  The facility accepts only municipal wastes from Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties, Pennsylvania.

Hours           

This Transfer Station is open to all haulers and residents Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to noon.

Personal Checks Not Accepted Unless Pre-Approved!

Note *  The $15.00 per vehicle fee may be applied to all vehicles with a gross weight of 5,200 lbs or less at the discretion of the weight master.

          Note **  No whole tires are allowed in the transfer station.

Other Information:

•   Appliances containing freon must be placed in a separate container.

•   No municipal wastewater sludges are accepted.

•   No large bulky wastes are accepted.  This pertains to items greater than 6 feet in any one dimension.
